Beau is an affectionate and fun-loving 18-month-old Great Dane who embodies the joy and spirit of a young “gentle giant.” He’s goofy, playful, and eager to please, with a heart full of love for his people. His big, expressive eyes and goofy grin are impossible not to fall for.
He’s currently living in a caring home, but despite everyone’s best efforts, he’s not getting quite enough structure or consistent activity to meet his needs. There’s an autistic child in the home, and while they share an amazing bond, their energy tends to amplify each other — sometimes leading to overstimulation and accidental rough play.
Think of Beau as a big toddler who hasn’t quite learned all the house rules yet. He’s not a “bad” boy — just young, spirited, and still learning what’s expected of him. With guidance, patience, and consistency, he’s ready to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion.
Beau loves his crate, enjoys family time, and is learning his leash manners. He’s sensitive and responsive to positive reinforcement, thriving when given calm structure and clear communication.
❤️ Highlights:
🏡 A confident, structured household that understands large-breed energy and behavior
🦮 Continued training, boundaries, and daily exercise
🛋️ A calm environment where he can decompress and mature
🐾 Possibly a calm canine companion, depending on introductions
🚪 A fenced yard is recommended for safe play and exploration
Beau’s story is one of potential and promise. He’s affectionate and playful, but like many young Danes, he’s still learning self-control and boundaries. He’s already come far — learning crate time, basic manners, and how to focus on his humans — and with continued training, he’ll grow into the gentle, grounded giant he’s meant to be.
He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be part of family life: to play, snuggle, and follow his people wherever they go. With the right structure, Beau will reward his forever family with endless loyalty and joy.
