🎉 Draco Has Been Adopted! 🎉
After spending a little extra time at a facility in Northern Vermont—close to our founder Melissa—Draco has officially landed in his forever home! 💙 His new dad went above and beyond, taking the time to visit Draco regularly, build trust, and follow all the right steps to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition. After a successful foster-to-adopt period, it became clear that this match was meant to be—even without a resident female dog, everyone is getting along beautifully!
Now Draco is living his best life with a full acre of fenced-in yard to roam freely, stretch those big legs, and enjoy his new chapter. 🐾🏡
We’re over the moon for this sweet boy and so grateful to his new dad for his patience, dedication, and love. Here's to forever, Draco! 💫

A special young male
This boy is a New Year's Eve baby, turning 3 on 12/31/2024, he had his third birthday at the board and train facility he has been calling home for a few months. Draco started off life with a family, his life was a little more Harry Potter than Draco Malfoy. First, he had his father, a younger man, who moved out of the country and left him with his parents, aka, Draco's grandparents. Their life was not very accommodating for a Great Dane, they did what they could, but it was not anywhere that a Great Dane should have been. Eventually the parents also decided they needed to move and Draco, was losing another set of family, because he was not invited. His grandmother reached out to us for help, and we did our best to evaluate and examen our first Great Dane from a distance as he is in Rhode Island, and I am in Vermont.
We tried moving him into a new home based off of the information provided by the surrendering family and that did not work in his favor, it became evident that there was more needed for Draco to bring him out of his shell. Luckily the facility that gave him his original evaluation was able to take him in for a 6 week board and train, and this was exactly what this shy, nervous, bullyish type boy needed.
He ended up thriving during his training program, and has truly excelled at finding himself and what he needs to stay a confident and smart dog. He is looking for his forever family still, but we know they are close by.
