Odin is a 2.5-year-old blue Great Dane with a big body and an even bigger heart. True to his nickname, he carries himself with a calm, observant presence. But don't let that fool you. This gentle giant is also a total goofball who is fully convinced he belongs in your lap.

Odin is loyal, loving, and deeply attached to his people. He's lived with children and does wonderfully with them, happily soaking up all the attention, pets, and companionship he can get. He also gets along well with other dogs and especially loves playtime with smaller canine friends he's had a chance to bond with.

He can be a little shy when something is new, but he warms up quickly and his friendly, social personality comes right out. He's food-motivated and eager to engage, and he'd do really well with some basic training to help him channel his excitement and keep building confidence. There's no history of aggression here, just a happy, enthusiastic young Dane still figuring out how big he actually is.

Odin enjoys walks, relaxing car rides, and a whole lot of lounging. He's crate trained, comfortable being left alone for short periods, and generally a pretty laid-back housemate.

He is also, it must be said, a toy destroyer of some dedication. Durable toys only, please.

Loud construction noises can make him nervous, and when he's unsure about something, he'll look to his person for reassurance or find a quiet spot to settle. With patience and consistency, he keeps growing more confident.

Odin is looking for a home that can give him stability, structure, and love. He thrives with people who are patient, consistent, and happy to have a large, loyal shadow follow them from room to room.

He does best with:

• A home with children or other dogs (smaller dog friends are a bonus!)
• People who are comfortable with a young, enthusiastic Dane who is still learning the ropes
• Durable toys and a cozy spot to decompress
