Shadow is a 7.5-year-old Great Dane whose journey proves just how far patience and love can go. When he first came into our care, he was uncertain and reactive, unsure of how to trust the world around him. With the help of professional rehab at Reenee’s Haven, Shadow has blossomed into a confident, affectionate boy who’s discovering just how good life can truly be.

Today, Shadow greets strangers calmly, enjoys walks with both male and female dogs, and even joins in the fun with younger, rowdier pups. He’s not just managing other dogs—he’s thriving with them. Because of this, he’d love to have another canine companion in his forever home, especially a fellow Dane who can match his steady presence.

Who Shadow Really Is
Shadow already knows his basics, walks beautifully on a prong collar, holds steady eye contact, and proudly shows off his favorite trick—a very enthusiastic paw shake (he’s quite proud of it!). Aside from a quick vet check on his eye and the occasional senior moment, Shadow is healthy, active, and ready for his next chapter.
