Meet Bluey
Bluey is a 3.5-year-old Great Dane/Mastiff mix whose journey is one of trust, resilience, and transformation. And if you saw where she started, you would not believe who she is today.
When Bluey first came into rescue through a joint effort with Reenee's Haven, she was fearful and reactive. She required a muzzle and could barely walk comfortably with our volunteer. But that was just the beginning of her story.
Once she arrived at Reenee's Haven for rehab, Bluey began to blossom. Under the guidance of her trainer she quickly learned structure, cues, and confidence, revealing a bright, affectionate, and eager-to-please personality that had been there all along. Her progress has been nothing short of remarkable. She is smart, responsive, and full of heart.
Today Bluey is fully trained and executes commands without hesitation. She rides in vehicles like a champ, stays close off leash, and lights up the moment she hears your voice. Full body wiggles included at no extra charge. She is playful, social, and deeply affectionate once she feels secure. While she can still show a little stranger danger when someone new takes her leash, consistency and patience help her settle quickly every time.
Bluey thrives with male dogs and enjoys their companionship. She has been around children of all ages without issue, though her puppy energy can be a lot for very small children. She is looking for a confident, experienced handler who will continue to show her that the world is not so scary after all.
She has done the hard work. She just needs the right home to step up for her the way she has stepped up for everyone who has ever worked with her.
